KIT Only - Universal Analog Field Device Simulator - Field Extendable I/O

$249.99

This is a kit!!!

This kit does not include any wire, solder or connectors, major parts only with instruction via photos emailed to your provided email address. If the email address provided with the purchase is not yours, you need to make other arrangements.

It does include the DC bucking voltage converter but is not shown in the images.

A universal I/O simulator with four multipurpose input simulators and two multipurpose output simulators. This field device simulator can be integrated with any controller, any size and any brand.

For most learning activities, a potentiometer will suffice to simulate an analog input value.

1. Four multipurpose input field device simulators:

Analog Voltage Inputs - Field Extendable

For most learning activities, a potentiometer will suffice to simulate an analog input value.

Ino (Ch0) and In3 (Ch3) provides a 0-10vdc signal to the controllers analog input module, manually variable by adjusting the potentiometers from minimum (ccw) to maximum (cw).

Although a potentiometer is sufficient for introductory observation of analog values influencing the execution of logic in your controller, there are many learning opportunities that cannot be realized without connecting a analog signal source that is influenced by outside forces such as temperature, pressure, etc... In addition to those learning opportunities, there are opportunities to configure and test field devices by connecting them via the field extendable features of this simulator.

Ino (Ch0) and In3 (Ch3) by means of the toggle (selector) switch will accept a 0-10vdc signal from any compatible source external to the simulator, typically a transmitter or signal conditioner.

Analog Voltage/Current Inputs - Field Extended Only, Selectable (0-10vdc or 0-20ma) by means of the toggle (selector) switch.

For most learning activities, 0-10vdc analog input simulation is sufficient. However, 0-20ma or 4-20ma are more prevalent for actual analog field devices and this is available with this simulator by means of a toggle (selector) switch.

In1 (Ch1) and In2 (Ch2) provides access to an external source for a 0-10vdc or 0-20ma analog signal such as a transmitter or signal conditioner.

2. Two multipurpose output field device simulators:

Analog Voltage Outputs - Field Extendable

Out0 (Ch0) and Out1 (Ch1) provide a constant visual indication of the analog output values.

Although a voltmeter is sufficient for introductory observation of analog values influenced by the execution of logic in your controller, there are many learning opportunities that cannot be realized without connecting a analog signal to an external device such as a VFD or PWM driver. In addition to those learning opportunities, there are opportunities to configure and test field devices by connecting them via the field extendable features of this simulator.

Out0 (Ch0) and Out1 (Ch1) are extendable to external devices without interrupting the voltmeter display. This allows a verification of signal when testing externally controlled analog devices.

3. The enclosure has dual 24vdc power connectors connected in parallel to allow daisy chaining to additional field device simulations.

We include a 24vdc power adapter with this field device simulator. The power adapter has sufficient capacity to power at least two of our field device simulators.

We have not posted a photo of the power adapter because the physical form may vary, but not the capacity.

4. The enclosure is professionally machined and digitally printed.
